Kathryn grew up one of six children working in her
parents' "Mom & Pop" grocery store in the small town of Langeloth,
Pennsylvania near
Pittsburgh.
After graduating from
IUP (Indiana University of
Pennsylvania) she worked for the airlines and lived all over
the country (Kansas City, Dallas, Houston, Denver, Salt Lake City, Montclair
NJ, and Raleigh). In Houston she also had her own desktop publishing
business for eight years. She loves learning and has taught herself website
creation and building over twenty websites to date. Learning all the latest
tools and technology tips keeps her quite busy when real estate doesn't.
She found her way to Cary, NC in the late 90s
where she got her real estate agent's license and then broker's license.
After working as a member of the
Kelly Cobb Home Team she decided it was
time to realize her dream of living at the beach and moved to Emerald Isle.

business I learned many things about relationships and people. Most importantly I learned
to listen to what people ask for and to gear my services to those needs as
efficiently, as effectively and as honestly as I can. In most cases I am grateful
to call these people my friend as well as client."
Kathryn is the 2009 President-Elect for the
Crystal
Coast Chapter of the Women's Council of REALTORS®.
In 2008 she served as the Secretary for the Crystal Coast Chapter of the
Women's Council of REALTORS®.
In addition she served as the 2007 and 2008 Education Chairman for the
Crystal Coast Chapter of the Women's Council of REALTORS®.
For the local real estate board,
Carteret
County Association of REALTORS®, she has served as the Chairman of the
Education Committee in 2007 and 2008 and serves as a member of the committee
for 2009. Another committee she has served on for the local REALTOR® board
is the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) committee in 2007 and in 2009.
